We are so grateful to the incredible women who chose to take part in this year’s VHI Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin. To all who ran, jogged, or walked we are so proud of you and thankful beyond words for your support. To all who donated, raising €19,537 to enable us to offer free, vital support to bereaved parents across the island, thank you. In donating, you placed your hope in the strength of our runners, and in the strength of bereaved parents.
We are already looking forward to next year, so keep an eye on this page for news about the 2026 VHI Women’s Mini Marathon!
This October, a group of inspiring Anam Cara supporters will lace up their boots and take on the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain – all in support of bereaved parents across Ireland.
Over five unforgettable days, our trekkers will walk part of the iconic Camino trail, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, meaningful reflection, and a shared sense of purpose. Each step they take will help fund Anam Cara’s vital peer support services, offered free of charge to families following the death of a child.
Whether walking in memory of a loved one or to support someone who has experienced loss, this journey is about connection, healing, and hope.
We have just two places left on this year’s trek – if you’d like to take part, we’d love to hear from you!

Each year, Anam Cara hosts two very special events that have become highlights of the festive season – our Christmas Lunches in Dublin and Cork.
These gatherings bring together our valued corporate supporters, friends, and community members for an afternoon of exceptional food, seasonal spirit, and heartfelt connection.
In 2025, we’re delighted to invite you to:
Dublin Christmas Lunch – Friday, 21st November in the beautiful Saba Restaurant, Dublin City Centre
