A massive thank you to all our wonderful supporters who took part in the Vhi Women’s Mini
Marathon on Sunday 1st June.
Each year this day represents a big day in our calendar and this year was no different! We are
always blown away by this special day where over 28,000 women (and a good few men) take to
the streets for the annual Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, many raising funds for countless
incredible causes. There is nothing quite like the buzz around the city centre on Mini Marathon
Day.
Together, our runners raised €19,537—more than six times our target. To Anam Cara, this is
more than just fundraising, is proof of the community’s care for bereaved parents and the offer
of hope for those who withstand the devastating loss of a child. With the support of our amazing
communities in and beyond our support groups, bereaved parents across Ireland never have to
be alone on their paths through grief.
Thank you to every person who took part, supported, donated and helped to spread the word
about Anam Cara. A special thank you also to our wonderful fundraisers, and to those who
joined, us before and after at Doheny & Nesbitt’s for some well-deserved refreshments
