Anam Cara facilitate monthly Parent Evening between September and June each year. We usually break for July and August to give our volunteers a much needed break, however the Anam Cara Central Office can be contacted on either of the numbers below.
Anam Cara Parent evenings are facilitated by a bereavement professional and our volunteer parents. The core essence of our parents evenings is to give parents a safe and comfortable place where they can meet other bereaved parents who understand the devastation, intense grief and sense of loss experienced as a Mum or Dad after the death of your son or daughter.

Anam Cara and Covid-19
Anam Cara is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our volunteer parents, professional facilitators and all parents attending the Anam Cara group’s Parent Evenings. Although Covid 19 is part of our day to day lives, so is our grief and loss. We know at Anam Cara how important it is being able to talk to other bereaved mothers and fathers, who understand and it helps us know we are not alone.
Anam Cara are working closely with all our venues throughout Ireland to ensure they are following all recommendations set out by the health authorities around facilitating a meeting in the community.
For this reason we will need parents to register for the monthly meetings when your local Face to Face group support meetings returns. All venues are following the guidelines of 2 meters distancing and now have a maximum number of participants in their meeting rooms.
